The Corporate Intuitive

Applied Intuition:

To intuit is to know from within. It is an inner knowing or perception that accesses our senses but is also beyond their physicality and the mind’s awareness. We have in every one of us, the ability to intuit more than we can rationally know, see, feel, hear or touch. In every one of us, we have ‘gut instinct’, a ‘sixth sense’, and profound insight. Known universally as intuition, it is simply what we know, from within.

To learn to trust our intuition is to learn to trust our self - our inspired self - and our value proposition.

Intuition arises from an inspired place within us, beyond the rational mind. When it is present within us it often feels irrational, illogical, imagined, or misplaced, especially when it is strongest. Therefore working with intuition, requires a belief and courage in the value of one’s own insight to welcome the possibility that the illogical is actually the inspired. In organisations, when we trust and apply our intuitive capabilities, the doors open to profound insight, creativity, inspired contribution, and personal fulfillment. We lead from an inspired place, and we are inspiring by our courage to do so.

Capitalising on intuitive insight, insight beyond the mind and the limitations of what we think we know, we gain access to the information available to drive our organisations through the unexpected, to the truly inspired.

In a workplace driven by logic and measurable returns, intuition can get suppressed, filtered, overlooked, and undervalued as its validity, appropriateness and applicability comes under scrutiny. When we begin to doubt or suppress our intuition, we withdraw, filter insight and observation, conform to leadership by power and position, and resign to consensus opinion rather than personal contribution. In a company this generates stagnancy and loss of direction, high turnover due to a lack of personal identity and creative insight, and disempowered leadership. For the shareholder this stifles the potential for extraordinary returns.

An investment in inclusion, intuitive development opens up new opportunities for individual and team contribution by valuing collaborative and diverse insight and contribution.

Highlighting similarities and differences in individual intuitive expression, intuitive development is an investment in diversity and creative expression. Opening new roads to communication, this work capitalises on the differences and talents of each individual that arrives in an organisation gaining access to the ‘whole’ of the talent pool.

Inspiring Leadership

Coaching the Corporate Shadow:

Organisational transformation through personal transformation

Corporate cultures, political cultures, and world cultures, are set from the top. Leaders, thru their inner beliefs and value systems, and those organisations that they lead, become the definers of the cultural trends and consciousness around them – the culture, a perfect reflection of what they hold inside. Therefore it is only through evolving leadership at a very personal level that we can evoke change – create a new world reflecting back at us. The intention to create cultural change, begins first within each individual aligning to that mission and intent. To change the organisation, we first embody that change from the inside, starting with “me”.

True leadership requires congruence between action and awareness – walking the talk – inside and outside the walls of the organisation. Who we really are, what we believe deep within, our true spirit and our aspirations create the world in which we live. If we want to effect change in the world around us, we must embody the changes we wish to make, stand in the integrity of all that we hold inside, and lead from this place.

The more we intend a conscious, values-driven, workplace, the more our lives and also our businesses are challenged by the subconscious beliefs and ‘human’ qualities that get judged, suppressed or repressed by that mission. The suppression of any aspect of our self gives rise to a “shadow” that begins to play out in the world around an individual or organisation. The more altruistic the mission is, the stronger the corporate shadow.

A Jungian expression, the “shadow”, is the subconscious self, or the part of us that we least wish to be or become. In creating a conscious, values-aligned organisation, a necessary light will be shone onto the corporate subconscious casting a shadow in order to drive the organisation to arrive more authentically in its mission. To expand corporate consciousness requires engagement with the corporate ‘subconscious’ to be able to navigate very personal and public challenges arising through its shadow.

Embracing the “Corporate Shadow” is about achieving authentic leadership. The courage to lead as an example of truth – in command of one’s values and one’s shadow - grants permission to the world around you to do the same. This is authentic leadership.

The Corporate Shadow Training Program:

Embracing the corporate subconscious

Whether one-on-one or structured for a group, this training is a personal reckoning with ‘myself’ as a leader. It considers the “I” in the organisation and its alignment to the mission of the organisation as well as the mission of the ‘individual’ that shows up in the organisation. Targeting all that leaders embody at a very personal level, this work focuses on the promotion of inspired leadership by aligning personal aspirations, values and consciousness with the values, consciousness, and aspirations of the organisation.

This very intensive training is structured especially for executive leaders and their management teams. The program can be explored through a combination of all or some of the below. The foundation course and introduction to the Corporate Shadow is the best place to begin for all individuals and teams. This course is oriented to providing a framework for authentic leadership and the ongoing engagement with the personal as well as the corporate subconscious.

Inspired Employees

Intuitive Coaching for Leaders:

Those who lead by their example, who are asked to stand up and be counted and by their own actions and words, help inspire others to direct their energies to create powerful and positive change, are often unable to sustain their leadership and reputational position because the world around them is intolerant of the humanity of the leader. We expect our leaders to be role models through human ‘perfection’ rather than models of human ‘transformation’. Therefore leaders are often today expected to lead with a mask of perfection and a growing denial of true human experience - modelling social conscience rather than personal integrity and alignment. In this process, leaders often lose a connection with themselves as they continue to try to meet the pressures of public rather than personal opinion.

To create positive change, leaders need to reflect the integrity of all that they represent. Leading from a place of greater integrity within ourselves inspires and motivates others as we arrive with all that we truly are rather than all that we pretend to be. In so doing, we grant permission to everyone else to do the same.

Intuitive Coaching Sessions

For many leaders in high profile positions, the process of personal transformation or exploration of intuitive expression can be too vulnerable to undergo public opinion. These leaders require the sanctity and privacy of independent support. For this reason, intuitive coaching sessions are confidential one-on-one sessions which provide the right environment to meet the needs of these individuals. Sessions are tailored to the leader and focus on aspirational and intuitive leadership development through personal transformation.
